Legislative Priorities 2015-16

Capital

Legislative Priorities

With recent decisions in the U.S. Supreme Court, Alaska Family Action has received the message from church leadership, community leaders, and business pioneers loud and clear: protect us.  In a world that has seemingly forgotten the importance of religious liberty, our priority during the 2015-16 legislative session is to reinforce that inalienable right — as established by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution — as strongly as possibly at all levels of government, from the City of Anchorage to the capital in Juneau and even to the United States Senate.

Alaska Family Action works closely with legislators on both sides of the aisle, and we recognize that there is a great need for bipartisanship in important times such as these.  While there is ground to be gained across a multitude of issues, we must focus our efforts on a few specific policy areas:

Life

Marriage

Religious Liberty

Parental Rights

Alaska Family Action is a non-profit organization that relies on the contributions of generous Alaskans who long to see a state where life is cherished, sacred marriage is promoted, and religious liberty is protected to the fullest extent possible.  We’d be honored if you’d join us in this fight.
