WASHINGTON, D.C. — Actress and Great American Media Chief Creative Officer Candace Cameron Bure has been named a national spokesperson for America Reads the Bible, a historic weeklong Scripture-reading event to be held April 18–25, 2026, at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.
Hosted by Christians Engaged and produced by Great American Media, the event will feature readers from across the nation reading the entire Bible aloud from Genesis to Revelation, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The program will be livestreamed on Great American Pure Flix and AmericaReadsTheBible.
Inspired by Ezra’s public reading of Scripture, America Reads the Bible invites individuals and ministries nationwide to unite around God’s Word and celebrate its enduring influence on American life and faith.
