It starts at 3pm TODAY. The White House just endorsed it. And AFC is there!

In Nehemiah 8, after generations of exile and compromise, Ezra climbed a wooden platform in Jerusalem and read the Book of the Law aloud from morning until midday. The people listened. They wept. They repented. And a nation was restored.

In a few hours, that pattern begins again in Washington, D.C. For one historic week — 84 hours of continuous public Scripture reading — nearly 500 confirmed leaders will read the entire Bible aloud over our nation, from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22, at the Museum of the Bible in the heart of our capital.

At 3:00 PM Alaska Time (7:00 PM in Washington, D.C.) today, the kickoff begins at the Museum of the Bible — and for the next 84 hours, nearly 500 leaders will read every word of Scripture over our nation without stopping. This is more than a reading. It is a movement — and in a short time, it begins.

Check out the list of readers and be encouraged by the Body of Christ in all it’s diversity. President Trump will read Scripture from the White House and U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson will open the reception at 3pm AK Time. Governors, U.S. Senators, influencers from every possible sphere along with everyday faithful followers will fill the week with the Gospel.

The Alaska contingency reading out of Genesis 41-46 starts at 8am tomorrow, Sunday, April 19th.
Franklin Graham will close out the momentous occasion.

The Bible is not symbolism. When leaders read Scripture publicly, it gives permission for millions to pick it up privately — and Scripture reshapes lives in measurable ways. According to the American Bible Society, Americans who engage with Scripture four or more times a week are dramatically more likely to share their faith, memorize what they read, and disciple others.

This is what we carry to Washington. Not a performance — a witness. And the faithful partnership of friends like you is what makes Alaska’s voice possible in that room.
