Addressing the Political is Not Enough – Victor Davis Hanson on Trump and Us !

“Where do they get this power to do this because the issues they are running on and they champion do not have public support. Open borders don’t have public support. Transgenderism doesn’t have public support. Males competing in female sports doesn’t have public support. How do they get his power ?

And he (President Trump) says I know how they got this power. They got it with the indoctrination of K-12, higher education, changing the demography with open borders, weaponizing the bureaucracy, FBI, CIA and IRS. So he said it doesn’t do any good to deal with the effects unless you go to the cause.

And that’s why the Left went crazy. They said we don’t have power in the House, the Senate the Supreme Court and the White House but we have all this other power that we’ll regenerate into political power as soon as we kick in in two years. And now, they’re saying oh my gosh, Donald Trump is addressing how we form propaganda. How we create bias. How we create all these dogmas that people don’t want. We push it down their throats through these institutions.

He’s addressing the root causes and that’s why I don’t blame them (the Left) because they understand that if he’s successful, they’re going to be neutered for a long time so that’s why they’re furious about it.”

Victor Davis Hanson
On an interview with Mark Levine on why Democrats are so up in arms with President Donald Trump

Victor Davis Hanson was interviewed recently by Mark Levin on why the Democrats have been so frustrated with President Donald Trump.

And yes. They don’t like his politics.

But it’s so much more than that.

For decades, the Left has been capturing our culture. Our bureaucracies. Our media.

And Trump knows that politics is downstream from culture. In order to have lasting impact that remains, conservatives need to engage in the arenas where citizens formulate their ideas.

Hanson brilliantly dissects the moment in time we are in right now. As we keep saying, it’s time to get out of the stands and into the arena.

Onward.
