Yesterday’s story (see below) about my friend Jason McGuire and his battle with New York Attorney General Letitia James apparently had some links that weren’t working. THIS LINK should hopefully work now for each of you who would like to support Jason by signing the petition.
Historic Cleveland Club Stands Strong Against LGBTQ Pressure To Silence Christian Leader
In yet another attempt to shut down the voices of Christian influencers, LGBTQ activists in the Buckeye state of Ohio gave it their best shot to cancel a speaking engagement at the City Club of Cleveland, one of the oldest free speech forums in America.
Aaron Baer, who runs the Center for Christian Virtue, the equivalent of Alaska Family Council, was invited to speak at the landmark institution when gay, lesbian and transgender political activists unleashed a campaign to remove historical, Biblical viewpoints from the public marketplace of ideas.
They failed.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost chimed in on X stating in his letter that “The City Club of Cleveland has long prided itself as a citadel of free speech, and rightly so. It has been my great honor to speak there. As a non-governmental organization, the City Club is not bound by the requirements of the First Amendment. But something just as important should compel your courage in this distasteful attack : the reason for your very existence as a forum will evaporate if you give in to the demands to cancel Mr. Baer’s talk.”
Today, as reported in the Daily Signal, City Club’s CEO, Dan Moulthrop, confirmed that free speech is alive and well in Cleveland stating that “We’re not canceling, and we have never had any intention of canceling this. We’re gonna continue to do what we always do, and have done for 113 years, which is convene conversations of consequence that help democracy thrive and do that with the leadership of relevant organizations who are shaping our communities.”
Two certainties come to mind regarding this story and the one regarding Jason McGuire in New York – 1) the Left will never stop trying to shut down Biblical views and 2) groups like the Center for Christian Virtue, New York Family Foundation and Alaska Family Council, along with every other family policy council we are privileged to be allied with, will never stop defending our right and responsibility to lift up that which is true, right and beautiful in our public spaces across America.
Onward Christian soldiers !

Justice for Jason
Many of you may have heard of Jason McGuire, a longtime pro-life and pro-family leader who has stood for life, liberty, and truth in New York for decades. He leads the equivalent of Alaska Family Council in New York state. Jason is a close ally and colleague in the Empire State. Today, Jason needs the support of people across the country.
