“You could be a Democrat, you could be on the left. I don’t care.
Jesus is honestly the most important thing”.
Charlie Kirk
The unspeakable happened today as Charlie Kirk, husband, father of two young children, ambassador of Jesus Christ and an “influencer” the likes of which our country has rarely ever experienced, was fatally shot today while giving a presentation at a college campus in Utah.
I am still processing this and have very few words to truly express how heartbroken I am.
My friend, Suzanne Downing, who has recently started up her own platform at suzannedowning.com, wrote this.
As she notes, “The legacy he leaves behind cannot be silenced. We will not be silenced. We must all be Charlie Kirk and continue on with his same spirit and conviction, with unwavering commitment to freedom, faith, and America’s future.”
We take comfort in knowing that Charlie’s faith was real—that he stood firm in Jesus, unwavering in his conviction that our ultimate hope is found only in Him. Charlie is now at rest with the Lord he served so well—and we trust that heaven echoes with his welcome.
In this moment of grief, we invite you to join us in prayer:
For Charlie’s beloved wife, Erika, and their children: may they experience the deep comfort of Christ amid their sorrow.
For a grieving nation: may this moment awaken in us all the profound truth that earthly life is fleeting, but our Heavenly home is eternal.
For our own hearts: that grief may deepen our faith, and that we too would stand firm for truth, purpose, and love.
Though words fail, our hope remains: “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints” (Psalm 116:15).
With hope in Christ
