Our Dinner last week was a wonderful reminder that God is in control. No matter the circumstances.
Kelvin Cochran, our keynote speaker, was exemplary. We were blessed to have yet another outstanding voice of truth encourage and equip fellow Alaskans to stand with us as we celebrated 20 years of defending and advocating for life, Biblical marriage and sexuality, religious liberty and parental rights in the public square.

In his presentation, Kelvin reminded guests of five lessons he’s learned from his experience of being fired as Atlanta Fire Chief for being a Christian. Although we didn’t capture it on video, you can click HERE for a podcast where he laid out the same lessons. This was a deep well of wisdom but here are the lessons highlighted.
1) God always prepares His sons and daughters to endure suffering.
2) There are worldly consequences for standing on Biblical truth.
3) There are Kingdom consequences for standing on Biblical truth and they are always greater than the worldly consequences.
4) God is glorified when His sons and daughters have courage. Two things happen when we stand for Truth. Our opposers get to see a side of God they would otherwise not see and we get to see a side of God we would not have seen had we bowed down.
5) Whenever sons and daughters of God have the courage to stand, their life always goes to another level of blessing. Think Job, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, King David, Joseph, Mordecai and ultimately, Jesus.
Encouraging lessons to keep pressing for the prize and serving as His ambassador along the way.
And speaking of courage, we were also extremely privileged to establish and present the first annual Loren Leman Christian Statesman Award. Recounting some of his past experiences, Loren’s tone reminded us that strength and humility are ingredients God can use hand in hand to advance his purposes. Thank you again Loren !
