Katie Faust on the show today – Why the needs of children are “Greater Than”

As promised, see email below we sent out last week, Katie Faust with the Greater Than campaign is on the show today. Tune in to “I’m Glad You Said That” as a broadcast on Wednesdays at 1:00pm on 89.3FM KATB and at 5:00pm on KVNT 92.5FM or 1020AM. You can pick up former episodes wherever you get your podcasts.

Katy is founder and President of Them Before Us, a global non-profit defending children’s rights in matters of marriage and family. She is also the leader of the Greater Than campaign described below.

She publishes, speaks and testifies widely on why marriage and family are matters of justice for children. Her articles have appeared in Newsweek, USA Today, The Federalist, Public Discourse, WORLD Magazine, The Daily Signal, the Washington Examiner, the American Mind, and the American Conservative. She is on the advisory board for the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship.

Katy helped design the teen edition of CanaVox which studies sex, marriage and relationships from a natural law perspective. Katy and co-author Stacy Manning detailed their philosophy of worldview transmission in their second book, Raising Conservative Kids in a Woke City.  She and her husband are raising their four children in Seattle.

“Greater Than is a coalition of pastors, parents, influencers, policy makers, theologians, lawyers, students, and normie Americans who are all speaking with one voice. What are we saying? “Don’t touch the kids.” Marriage does not exist as a tool for adult validation. It is God’s Plan A for child protection, and we intend to retake it on their behalf.

No. Obergefell hasn’t been overturned but the discussion has just been significantly ramped up through the Greater Than Campaign that Alaska Family Council has proudly joined along with a growing list of influencers.

Click HERE to view a short video of those who are standing up for what is true, good and beautiful about marriage. Allie Beth Stuckey, John Stonestreet, Dr Al Mohler, Lila Rose and others chime in on why the time is now.

Many, if not most of us, in the pro family movement have been less engaged on the marriage issue than we should be following the Obergefell U.S. Supreme Court decision in 2025 that nullified 31 state constitutional amendments that had clarified marriage as a union between one man and one woman.

Alaska was actually the first in the nation to do so.

Debates still swirled of course but the truth of marriage never changed because marriage, in large part, is God’s signature in Scripture. From the first wedding in the Garden to the wedding supper of the Lamb in Revelation, our Creator uses the language and meaning of holy matrimony a to communicate to His people. We are the Bride. Jesus is the Bridegroom.

Advocates of same-sex “marriage” campaigned on the promise of marriage equality, posting memes of equal signs across social media. Greater Than proclaims the hard truth that children are treated as less than when they are deprived of mom and dad.

Alaska Family Council is proud to join this list of 43 (and growing!) organizations and leaders. The Greater Than website features answers to difficult questionsopportunities to get involved, and the latest news and information about this pressing problem.

Katie Faust, the ferocious leader of Them Before Us and founder of the Greater Than Campaign will be on “I’m Glad You Said That” as a guest next week. Stay tuned for that.

Join the movement. As the Greater Than website puts it:

The line has been crossed. The cost is our kids. It’s time to fight back—with truth, courage, and conviction. It is our responsibility to give kids their identity, security, and childhood back.
