“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:14-15
There’s been a lot of chatter in Alaska lately about the funding level and state of education. Most of us have very strong opinions on this issue and, despite the sloganeering from both “sides”, I’d venture to say that kids doing better in our public schools is something we all might agree needs to happen.
If you knew there were currently hundreds of public schools across the country that have been implementing a program that has measurably improved student outcomes, at no cost to the school and that is widely supported by public school superintendents, principals, teachers, parents and students…would that get your attention ?
What if you also knew that program was also bringing the life changing, radical message of hope, purpose and reconciliation that only the Gospel of Jesus Christ can provide ? This Fall, we are excited to launch the first LifeWise Academy at Clark Middle School in the Anchorage School District – during school hours.
Alaska Family Council is privileged to partner with LifeWise Academy to invite you to an exclusive screening next Tuesday, April 29th at 5:30pm at Mountain City Church in Anchorage of “Off School Property – Solving the Separation of Church and State“. Click HERE for the trailer.
The documentary, less than an hour in length, exposes the historical removal of the Bible from public education, a societal shift that altered the course of American society. Featuring insights from experts like George Barna, John Stonestreet, Kelly Shackelford, and others, Off School Property explores a balanced approach to religious instruction that respects constitutional boundaries, offering transformative benefits to students, schools, and communities—and the hope our nation desperately needs.
Hope you can join us next Tuesday for some inspiration. Please share so we can pack the house.
